Our trip to Bruges and Gent in the weekend 27th to 30th October.
A concert in St Baafs Cathedral in Gent, then day out
in Bruges with trips on the canal and on the way back we sang
pieces from Fauré and Vivaldi in the
Sunday Mass in St Michaels Cathedral in Ypres. A good
time was had by all.
24th September 2011
The Choir will be visiting Bruges & Ghent 27th
to 30th October performing in St Baafs Cathedral
in Ghent and St Martins Cathedral In Ypres.
Works will be selections from Fauré Requiem, Vivaldi
Glori and Handel Messiah.
9th July 2011
The Choir performed with Southend Girls' Choir for the
2011 Summer concert entitled 'Night of the Musicals' at The Plaza
Centre in Southchurch.
24th March 2011
The Choir visited Brentwood Cathedral on 24th March for
a joint concert with Brentwood Ursuline Convent High School. We
contributed the Vivaldi Gloria.
11th December 2010
Saturday 11th Dec at 7.30pm we performed our yearly Christmas
Concert with St. Michael's School Choir & The Southend Band.
13th November 2010
Saturday 13th Nov at 7.30pm we performed Rutter Magnificat
& Fauré Requiem

On Saturday 3rd July we performed the concert entitled
A Night at the Opera with The Southend Girls Choir at
The Plaza Centre, Southchurch Boulevard with soloist, Andrew Walters.
October 2009
The Choir had a great weekend away from 2nd to 4th October with
two concerts in
Alfreston Church on the 3rd and
Christ
Church Worthing on the 4th. The Choir performed the
Fauré
Requiem and the
Vivaldi Gloria at each venue. We had
an excellent hotel, a good time was had by all.

September 2008
Members of the Society joined with singers from many other choirs
for an exciting annual Choral Workshop Directed by
Sir David
Willcocks at Westcliff High School for Girls Southend on Sat.
27th Sept. 2008.

October 2007
The Choir visited Amsterdam in October 2007 and performed two concerts
to packed audiences.
December 2005
Several Members of the Southend
Choral Society, together with members from the Southend
Bach Choir and the Festival Chorus sang as guests
of the Southend Girls & Boys Choirs at St James's
Church, Piccadilly in December 2005. And previously sang
with them in St Paul's Church, Covent Garden, London.
The Church, known as the Actors Church, lies in a quiet
& peaceful corner of Covent Garden away from the busy hustle
& bustle of the crowds. A most enjoyable event for everyone.
A chance to see the Christmas Lights, to get that last minute
Christmas shopping, and then to enjoy making music in these famous
old London Churches, bringing a real spirit and message of Christmas.
October 2004
The Choir visited Belgium in October 2004. And gave a performance
in the Church of Our Lady In Bruge repeating the performance
in St Baafs Cathedral in Ghent.
October 2002
In October 2002 the Choir sang in Paris at the American Church
and in the Notra Dame Bon Secures Hospice Chapel.
